LAUNCHING SATURDAY 21 AUGUST – TAUNTON’S FIRST DEDICATED 80s SYNTHPOP MUSIC NIGHT!

After months of waiting to see what the government would be announcing regarding the final easing of lockdown measures, I’m very happy to confirm that the launch night on 21 August of ‘Computer World’ will go ahead as planned at The Lawns Club in Taunton.

Celebrating classic and alternative electronic music from before, during and after the 80s, you’ll get to hear and dance to tracks like Soft Cell’s ‘Tainted Love’, Donna Summer’s ‘I Feel Love’, OMD’s ‘Enola Gay’, Sparks’ ‘Number One Song In Heaven’, Kraftwerk’s ‘The Model’ and New Order’s ‘Blue Monday’ alongside obscure and alternative cuts from artists including The Cure, Ultravox, Japan, Little Boots, Nine Inch Nails and Depeche Mode….but that barely even scratches the surface!

Capacity for launch night will be limited to 100, while tickets are just £5, but must be booked in advance only, and NOT on the door, so if this is something that takes your fancy, don’t delay – book today! Tickets are available directly from Jeremy Damsell via Messenger, or email [email protected]

Following government guidance, the event is being held with Covid precautions in place, but are designed to be fully inclusive for all.

Further dates are confirmed for 25 September, 23 October, 13 November, and 18 December.
